We are delighted to introduce and welcome Martyn Horne onto the Build Qatar Live judging panel. Martyn will join the judges to identify the winning teams for the Build Qatar Live 2012 awards on November 27th. Martyn Horne has been working across design industries for twenty years with a broad experience in both the architectural and product design sectors. As Development Manager for Nemetschek Vectorworks' exclusive UK distributors Computers Unlimited, he is responsible for BIM implementation strategies in the UK. He recently chaired two of the “Better Through BIM – Implications on Processes” seminars at Ecobuild 2012 and also presented ‘BIM – Your Next Step’ at the RIBA Bitesize seminar series. Martyn is an active member of BuildSMART, the International Alliance for Interoperability and has also been involved in the development of the National BIM Library, the first stage of which was launched recently. The entire event team are excited to have Martyn join us to support Build Qatar Live and make it a great event for everyone. |

Tahir has over 22 years experience at senior management level. He has been influential in encouraging the adoption of BIM with Governments, Developers, Consultants, Contractors, Service providers, Vendors and System Integrators. He has advised on BIM usage and Integrated Project Delivery implementation for Iconic Projects throughout the Middle East, Asia and Europe. He was instrumental in encouraging the adoption of BIM in ADAC for the new $6.8 Billion Abu Dhabi Airport, in addition he has written several BIM Specifications for a number of key projects in the Middle East. He has written several articles on BIM and has been an expert columnist in leading construction magazines local and international. Tahir is a senior BIM advisor on leading projects where the use of the BIM models are being used for preventative measures to reduce costs, allow better planning, and improve quality and asset management throughout the lifecycle of the project. |

Winn has been volunteering as a BIM Consultant at buildingSMART MENA & India for the past 2 years. A Civil Engineer by trade with a strong background in Architecture, Structural Engineering and Project Management, he is currently employed by Tekla Middle East. With almost a decade of experience & knowledge in software processes, he is very respected in the industry and has been delivering BIM implementation and training workshops to academia and industry since 2006. A fervent advocate of buildingSMART, he works towards better interoperability using openBIM standards across multiple BIM technology platforms. |

Please welcome Gerard G. Couturier to the Build Qatar Live 2012 judging panel! Gerard is the Regional Manager of Oger International Abu Dhabi, Saudi Oger's architectural and engineering company. He received a Masters in Engineering from INSA Lyon and is also a graduate from the French Military School, "École Spéciale Militaire de Saint-Cyr". Gerard began his international career in 1973 with Setec International, a French engineering corporation. He was assigned as the Resident Engineer in Iran for the major project 'Les Jardins de Vanack', the first high-rise building complex in Tehran. Gerard then moved to the U.A.E. in 1975 where he was placed in a number of high profile roles to include expanding the Maintenance Company of the Oger Group to 3,500 engineers and technicians responsible for maintaining 42 sites totaling 3.7 million square meters of highly sophisticated facilities for the Royal Protocol. Other projects include Disneyland Paris project and for the Walt Disney Group in Europe. Since 2007, when Gerard joined Oger International as the Regional Manager for the UAE, he has successfully managed two iconic projects: the new financial services district of Abu Dhabi, Sowwah Square (500,000m2) and the Paris Sorbonne University of Abu Dhabi (100,000m2), with the former due for completion in the second quarter of 2012. Gerard is also credited with expanding the presence and the influence of the company as he has negotiated and signed 11 new contracts, mainly for BIM services and sustainable development. Gerard is also the current Chairman of the U.A.E. forum of a Non Profit Organization, building SMART MENA & India , which promotes the usage of Open BIM which is expected to revolutionize our current industry. |

The CEO at Asite, Tony has been advocating and contributing to collaborative and openBIM both at Asite and as a speaker in numerous offline and online events. Prior to Asite, Tony held a number of senior roles with companies including Renaissance Worldwide, Group Bull and Cara Information Technology. He has over 23 years experience in the IT services arena with extensive knowledge of corporate collaboration technologies. When he can find the time, he enjoys nothing more than playing (albeit badly) a game of golf or two. |

Nathan is a long-standing advocate of OpenBIM as the Board Member of the UK chapters of buildingSMART and the International Alliance for Interoperability. Nathan is the COO of Asite and takes care of all operational aspects of the business including Sales & Marketing, Finance, and Technology. Prior to Asite, Nathan was Product Development Director at Bidcom and CTO for Spill Industries, an award-winning web design and development company based in Paris, France. Nathan's early career included time with KPMG Consulting and software start-ups in Boston and New York. Nathan is a father of two, a life-long sailor and he tries to play golf whenever he can (albeit even more badly than Tony). |
